John Mercy's Company that marched after Tories in August 1780, by orders from Col. Ebenezer Woods, Windsor, August, 1780. Commencement of pay: August Days: 3 Per day: 1.4 When discharged: August Miles: 20 Amount per day: 0.4.0 Total: 0.10.8 [10 shillings, 8 pence]. Bennington, Vt. 22nd June 1781 received the contents of the within payroll. Per me, John Mercy, Captain." Also, there is data for this same payroll for Lt.
