Source,The Bennington (Vt) Evening Banner-- Mon. Aug. 30, 1943. BENNINGTON, Vt. F. Haviland Sibleys Mark Anniversary. In honor of their 25th wedding anniversary Saturday, August 28, Mr. and Mrs. F. Haviland Sibley entertained an open house at their home on Silver street, from 4 to 7 o'clock. There were more than a hundred who called to offer congratulations during the afternoon. Mrs. Sibley is the former Doris Carpenter and the couple was married in New York August 28, 1918, while Mr. Sibley was on furlough from Camp Lee, Va., in World War 1. Presiding over the tea table at the affair were Mrs.Esther Parmalee, Mrs. Norton Barber, Mrs. Paul C.Howe, Mrs. Henry Root and Miss Mary Allen. Assisting in the serving of the guests were the Sibley twin , Ann and Harriette ; Deborah Sibley, Patsy Ann Blackmer and Mary Root.
