Source, Rutland, Vt. Daily Herald--Wed.Jan.21, 1976. NORTH CLARENDON, Vt. John M. Paddock, 68, of North Clarendon, died at his home Tuesday morning. He was born in Dorset, Vt., son of Martin and Jennie (Dillingham) Paddock. Most of his life he lived in this area. Mr. Paddock was a retired custodian of the Rutland Park Street School and a member of the Otter Valley Grange and Otter Valley Garden Club. He was a veteran of World War 11, having served in the U. S. Army. Survivors are his wife Florence Alexander Paddock of North Clarendon, a step-daughter, Mrs. Jean Cadoret of Cornwall, Vt.; a step-son, Reginald E. Alexander of Newport, Vt., two sisters, Mrs. Ida Capen of Plainville, Conn., and Mrs. Mary Cadoret of Manchester, Vt.,eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:30 p.m.Thursday at the Tossing Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland with interment at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Pittsford, Vt. There will be no calling hours. Friends may send contributions to the Vermont Cancer Society, 8 Langdon St. Montpelier, Vt., in Mr. Paddock's memory.
