Just poking around in response to your query, I was unable to locate a Moses Armstrong in Bennington in 1820, but there's an Armstrong family nearby (first name illegible) in Hoosick, Rensselaer Co., NY - which is only 7 miles away. On the following page in this census in Hoosick there's a Harper Rogers, a Daniel Rogers & a Daniel Rogers, Jr. There are other Rogers in Hoosick in 1820 as well: Isaac, John, Jonathan & Nathan. On the USGenWeb site for Rensselaer County, there's a biography of Harper Rogers: _http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/bio177.htm_ (http://www.rootsweb.com/~nyrensse/bio177.htm) Just a thought -- >Hi List, > >Can anyone help? Hi Dorothy, Would you like me to transcribe 3 payrolls for Hezekiah ARMSTRONG in the Revolutionary War or do you already have that data? There are 21 ROGERS soldiers listed who served in the WAR of 1812-14 from Vermont with residences not listed. Some of these had pensions or their widows had pensions. Two others are from Franklin County, VT, near the Quebec Border. Happy hunting, Jan Jordan <<Shubael G. Hi List, Can anyone help? Even a clue. I descend from Temmy Armstrong born about 1802, VT or NY and Shubael G. Rogers. Temmy was the daughter of Moses Armstrong and Phoebe Arnold. Moses was the son of Hezekiah Armstrong and Miriam Haynes. Hezekiah was in Bennington and fought in the Rev War. I think they lived in the area where they had a border dispute since some records state Temmy was born in VT, others say NY. My problem is Shubael G. Rogers. I have been unable to learn who his father was. Can anyone tell me if there were ANY Rogers family living in this area, maybe a neighbor, around 1800 to 1820? Any help on my Rogers problem would be appreciated. Thanks, Dorothy

In the "Roger Williams of Providence, R.I." Vol. II, Comp.by Bertha Williams Anthony, on page 136, it mentions Joseph Williams, 1739-1793, who married Esther SMITH. I would like to know where this Joseph Williams died and get a full death date for him. Did he leave a probate? Can anyone help me? Thanks, Renee __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hello All- I'm looking for information regarding my gggrandfather, David Parker, b. 1805 (per US census) probably in NY, but sometimes listed as Vt. He was married to Polly (probably Mary) Whitcomb, b. 1808 in Vt. They are listed in Dorset, Bennington County 1840 & 1850 US census. They had six children: Helen, b. 1831, Mariah, b. 1832, Rosetta (?), b.1835, , Marcellus Bullard (my ggrandfather), b. 1838 in Rutland, Vt., Mary, b. 1840 and George, b. 1847. David, Polly and Marcellus are listed again in the 1860 US census in St. Anthony, Hennepin Co., MN. Helen was married to John W. McWain by this time, and Mary Esther was married to William Truax. Per Marcellus' obit from 1910, he came with his father to Wisconsin, Trempealeau Co., when he was 16 ( approx. 1854). They were both farmers. They may have lived in Trempealeau for a time until Marcellus, David and Polly settled in St. Anthony. Marcellus eventually migrated back to Trempealeau Co, Caledonia, married Margaret Su! ttie in 1862 and settled in Caledonia, Galesville and Trempealeau until his death in 1910. I have been unable to trace David Parker after the 1860 census. He is not buried in Galesville or Trempealeau and have been unable to find a listing of him in any cemetery in St. Anthony. I would like to trace David Parker to his ancestors and siblings, and learn of the type of farming he might have done in Dorset. Also what religion he practiced and where he might have attended church -(daughters Helen and Mary Esther were Presbyterian). Also, any information on Marcellus' other siblings, Mariah, Rosetta, and George, would be very helpful. Thanks for any help, Susan Parker Gruwell, Toledo, OH
