However, they they state they have never heard of them and the Bixby Library didn't know what I was talking about either. I am trying to locate information on a Joseph Carpenter b. 1783-1784 and d. January 23, 1822 and is buried in the School Street Cemetery. I have the transcription of his headstone but was unable to gain access to the cemetery to obtain a picture or see it for my self as it is completely closed in and locked. I am trying to find out if there is any other record of his death and who might have been his wife. Children information also. I have hit a brick wall and am unsure where to look now. Are there really any available records for Vergennes or Addison County in regards to the early 1800's? Any suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks.
