Hi All; I am new to this list and hope that one or some of you can help me with this brick wall. I have been searching for the marriage of Samuel & Lucy for over 20 years and have yet to find a trace. I have all their children , I think, and his death record, but nothing on her...not even sure she was a Chandler but we think so. They were married before 1819 in Vermont but I don't know where. They were in Hancock in 1820 census; between 1830-1840 in Granville; by 1850 in Middlebury She died before 8/21/1842 (but I don't know where) as that is when Sam remarries to Lavinia Huntress Davis. He has one child with her, George W. Pinney. Sam died in Lowell, MA, apparently while visiting his son Samuel Chandler Pinney but is supposedly buried in Granville (no record) where I think Lucy might be, because Lavinia is buried in Middlebury. Sam & Lucy supposedly had 6 children but I only have found records for two - Sam Chandler & Ebenezer (my Great-Great Grandfather) who were supposedly born in Granville but I can find no record of their births, only death records which just give the Mother as "Lucy". Frustrating. Has anyone out there any information on these people that could give me a clue as to where to look next? TIA, Pat
