He was in and out of Vermont on censuses from 1790 through 1840. He also owned property in Crown Point, Essex Co., N.Y. He is on 1830 census Bridport, Addison Co., VT., where he also operated a ferry. He appears to be the Samuel Ramey in Panton, Vt., on the 1840 census. He must have died after 1840 as he was quite elderly at that time. He appears to have done business in New Haven, VT., at which time it appears his wife left him. Her name was Polly. If this ties into any information you may have, I would be most grateful to know. I just have not been able to tie down any of his personal life. Thank you so much.
