Joseph Sawyer. His father Isaac Sawyer was also an Elder in the Baptist church, ordained in 1800, in Monkton, VT by Elder Ephraim Sawyer, a distant relative and a pioneer in the Baptist ministry in Vermont. Another son, Conant, was also ordained a Baptist minister. I have not yet come across much info that traces the life of Rev. Joseph - wish I could be of more help.
