Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Fri. Feb. 7, 1947. VETERAN GRANGE MEMBER ATTENDS MIDDLEBURY MEETING. Middlebury, Feb.6--William York of Lincoln, who became 91 years old on January 14, was present at the meeting of C. J. Bell Pomona Grange and the Cornwall Grange held yesterday. York became a Grange member when he was 18 years old. Also present were five charter members of the Bell Pomona which was organized 42 years ago. They were Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Bain and Horace Dow of Middlebury, Mrs. Frank Manchester of Cornwall and H. J. Pratt of Bridport. The organizations voted a sum of money for the Vermont Grange Educational Aid fund.
