Source, Rutland Vt.Herald--Sat.Aug. 13, 1932. DANIELS HOUSE AT ORWELL DESTROYED. ORWELL, Aug. 12--The story and a half frame dwelling house of Mr. and Mrs. George Daniels was burned to the ground early this morning. When Mr. and Mrs. Daniels were wakened at about 4 o'clock they noticed the smell of smoke and on opening the door of the adjoining room to investigate, found it and the remainder of the house to be filled with smoke and flames. Grabbing a few articles of clothing they jumped from the bedroom window, on the lower floor. But a moment later the entire structure was in flames. Eighty dollars, which was in the pockets of Mr. Daniels' clothes, was also burned.The loss is estimated at about $1500, which was partly covered by insurance. The cause of the fire is unknown.
