I found a marriage between Nicholas O'Brien and Elizabeth Perkins on 14 Oct 1847 in Panton VT. I think this may be my great-grandparents. I need more information to be sure. My grandfather, George Edward O'Brien, was born about 1859-1864. He was the son of Nicholas O'Brien and Sarah Perkins. He was born either in Chazy NY or Vermont. He gave a lot of conflicting information. The 1880 U. S. Census shows Sarah O'Brien age 57 a widow and her son George O'Brien age 21 living in Chazy NY. According to the census they were both born in Vermont. I found a marriage for Nicholas O'Brien and Elizabeth Perkins on 14 Oct 1847 in Panton VT. I don't know for sure if this is my great-grandparents. George came to Lowell MA in the early 1880's and started his family in 1883.
