Miss Margery Plue, a student at Middlebury college, passed the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen C. Plue. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stockwell of Utica, N. Y., were guests of friends and relatives in Orwell during the week-end. Fordyce Wisell and Fred Hier of Rutland spent Monday hunting squirrels at the Wisell farm. Mrs. Imogene (sic) W. Munger returned Sunday from spending nearly three weeks with relatives in Fair Haven and Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn S. Bishop were week-end guests in Randolph Center of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Slack. Miss Alice A. Jennings ,who has been spending several weeks here because of the serious illness of her father, William A. Jennings, has resumed her duties as teacher of English in the Bellows Falls High School. Mr. Jennings' condition is steadily improving. Mr. and Mrs. harold Steeves and daughter, Patricia, of Rutland were week-end guests of mrs. Steeves' parents, Mr. and mrs. Walter H. Stacey. Mr. and mrs. Rollin Wilcox of Mechanicville, N. Y., visited her brother, Warren Kimberley and family, on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Severance and children of Granville, N. Y.,were Sunday guests of the Owen C. Balcom family. Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Munger has returned to Peacham, after spending a few days with his mother, Mrs. Emogene W. Munger. Miss Isabel Neddeau and Arthur Delorme of Ticonderoga, N. Y., and Miss Grace Sellick of Middlebury were guests Sunday of Mr. Delorme's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Delorme. Mr. and Mrs. Horton Farnham and daughter, Helen, spent Sunday with relatives in Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Hitchcock and daughter of Proctor were Sunday guests at the home of his brothers, William and Charles Hitchcock. A group of 25 businessmen and men teachers from Albany, N. Y., spent the week-end at Camp Singing Cedars. Clayton Barker and Myron Gallison appeared before Judge LeRoy C. Russell in Middlebury on Saturday on charges of illegally transporting and furnishing liquor and for disturbance of the peace. They were bound over to appear for trial later on bail of $1000 each. Barker's bail was secured, but Gallison, unable to raise the required sum, was lodged in county jail. Norman Edwards was a visitor in Orwell Friday, His mother, Mrs. Cynthia Edwards, returning with him to his home in Keene, N. Y., for an extended visit. Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Fillion and children of Hudson Falls, N. Y., visited his cousin, Mrs. Curtis LaDuc on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Mercure and son, Elmer, visited Mr. and Mrs. Pryor in Fort Ann, N.Y., Sunday. Their granddaughter, Shirley Pryor, accompanying them home here for a visit.
