Hello list, I am new to the Addison County list. Researching in Rutland County sends me to Middlebury, Addison County where Ida (C or A) Chapman was born. I have found in the IGI a family group record of the following Chapman family that I believe is the family I am looking for. Charles Chapman ?born 1847, Middlebury? ?married about 1872, Middlebury? - to Mary Jane Hewitt ?born 1851, Mendon Rutland county? children; John William, b 28 June 1873 Middlebury, d 26 Nov 1895 Mary, b 7 Dec 1876 Middlebury, d 8 Aug 1906 Cora M., b 14 Nov 1879 Middlebury, d 2 Oct 1902 Eva A, 6 Dec 1884 Middlebury Ida A(or C), 6 Dec 1884 Middlebury Ida married Charles Frank Bruce sometime between 1900 & 1910. They lived in Rutland. They had one child - Charles Frank Bruce Jr., b. 23 Oct 1923. Ida died the following year Sept 12, 1924. Eva A. married Stephen Brown and had 2 sons, Harold and Stephen Jr.. The nephew Charles Frank Bruce was living with them in 1930 census. I would like to hear from anyone researching these people.
