    2. Source,Rutland Vt. Herald--Oct. 4, 1940. SHOREHAM , VT. Dr. L. A. Sanders has gone to Boston for the month of October and will study in the Medical college at Harvard. Mrs. Sanders accompanied him and will remain there this week. Mrs. Ella Waite entertained Mrs. Clara Myers of Peoria, Ill., and her daughter, Mrs.Jane Merritt, of Cambridge, Mass., for a few days. A daughter, Martha Jane, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Doane last Friday. Mrs. J. Lucius Buttolph ad her sister, Mrs. Marjorie Briggs of Brandon have returned home after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Connor of Chapel Hill, N. C. Mrs. C. L. Witherell, Mrs. J.. De Witt and Mrs. A. B. Delano attended the state convention of the Daughters of the American Revolution which was held in Burlington. Mrs. Emma Heitman, who has been in Burlington, is spending two weeks at the home of her son, Grandy Heitman. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin James were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sweeney of Cambridge and Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Boise of Rutland. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Treadway and daughter, Miss Joyce and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Treadway spent Sunday in Montreal. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest LaSage and daughter of Winooski were guests at the home of Thomas Quenneville on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Euber entertained Mr. and Mrs. Roy Crossman of Keene, N. H. on Sunday. Miss Betty Osborne of Albany, N.Y., is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M.Osborne. Deacy Leonard and son, Arthur, visited the former's brother, John Leonard ,in Bakersfield on Sunday. Mrs. Josephine Alto is caring for Mrs. William Farnham. Miss Grace Buttolph od St. Albans hospital was a week-end guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Buttolph. Mrs. J. R. Jacobs, who was at the Mary Fletcher hospital, Burlington, several days for observation, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Baldwin have moved to Orwell.
