Source, Rutland Vt. Herald--Fri. Feb. 24, 1939. MIDDLEBURY, Vt., Feb. 23--Mrs. Eva Stearns Manney died at her home in East Middlebury, Vt. at 12:30 this morning. She was born in East Middlebury, Vt., August 10, 1853, daughter of Elliot and Emeline Tupper Stearns. On Nov. 2, 1869 she was married to John Manney. They lived in East Middlebury until 1878 when they moved to Rochester, Vt. and a few years later to Randolph,Vt. returning to East Middlebury in 1922. A daughter, Evelyn, wife of Arthur K. Hall of East Middlebury survives. Funeral services will be held at the East Middlebury Methodist church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Prospect cemetery.
