    3. First, thank you so much for looking. Yes, Joseph (Jos) Hill is mine. I have been able to find nothing so far about his parents or other family members. If anyone knows anythign about this man, I would be greatly appreciative. My local genealogy library (in Michigan) and Allen County public library in Indiana have little or nothing on Addison Co., in Vermont. Thank you in advance. Joseph Sawyer. His father Isaac Sawyer was also an Elder in the Baptist church, ordained in 1800, in Monkton, VT by Elder Ephraim Sawyer, a distant relative and a pioneer in the Baptist ministry in Vermont. Another son, Conant, was also ordained a Baptist minister. I have not yet come across much info that traces the life of Rev. Joseph - wish I could be of more help. I continue to search avidly for all Sawyers in Vermont and will be happy to pass on anything that I may find. Jann Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Sawyer? Are there any known records of his life? I am aware of the place where Rev. Sawyer is buried. I have actually been in the cemetery in Whiting! I found his grave when I was researching my great-grandmother Elizabeth Ann (Hayford)Wentworth and great-grandfather Daniel M. (maybe Malcolm) Wentworth. I, also, found another Wentworth in the same cemetery. Quite sure he was related to my gr-grandfather. My hope is to find some kind of record kept by Rev. Sawyer of the marriage of my gr-grandmother and gr-grandfather. There exists only a groom's record in the records in Whiting, VT and her name is not found on a bride's record. The writing on the groom's record is impossible to read. I would like to have some record of the marriage, find her mother's name. At this point I've hit a brick wall.
