I think he may have a brother, Stephen b 2 Aug 1793. By 1820's, Peter was living in Pomfret, Chautauqua Co, NY. He married Sally CURTIS of Genesee Co (d/o Comfort & Priscilla [Witney] CURTIS) in 1822. Peter moved to Kane Co, IL 1836, to McHenry Co, IL 1849 & then Allamakee Co, IA by 1860. He resided with his son, Lyman Webster GOODRICH until his death in 1888. A Stephen GOODRICH & wife, Mary, are buried with Peter in Minert Cem, Post IA. Census records states Peter & Stephen were both born in VT & that their parents were born in MA. Does anyone know of a Goodrich family coming from MA to Addison Co & having children there?

I went to school in New Haven Vermont, in the 1940's and early 1950's. There was a family who had children in my school that might just possibly be related to your La Rock. I believe they spelled the name Laroque however, which is probably the French version. Soundex searching might be your best bet, as many anglicised names were spelled differently each generation. Hope this proves to be of some help. a native Vermonter lost in Texas Gene Warner

Surnames: La Rock, Wadleigh Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nAC.2ACI/1451 Message Board Post: Looking for any info on the Wadleigh / La Rock family of New Haven Road, Vergennes, Addison County, Vermont (1920). Edward & Rose Wadleigh had 2 children: Edgar Samuel Wadleigh b 1913, VT Marion F. Wadleigh b 1914, VT By 1920, Rose is married to Henry W. La Rock and they are listed with Edgar, Marion and Cristine M. La Rock (b 1919). No idea what happened to Edward or what Rose's maiden name was. 1920 census says Rose and her father were born in Vermont and her mother was from Canada. Same says that Edgar & Marion's father, Edward was born in NH and that Henry and both his parents were born in NY. I have found the La Rock family in the 1880 census in NY. Henry's parents were Charles & Brieda La Rock - also a sister, Lilla
Sorry Donna.I did not meen to make you confused.I just sent you what it says in the Book.I'm not from that area.Good luck. Jean M
Hi Deborah, I'm very much interested in sharing information about the Elias DeLong connection that I have. I found "2" Elias Delong's in NY and it took me awhile to determine which was the correct one for my family connections. The only brother/sister to Aaron, that I have been able to trace was Francis J Delong with the same birth and death dates. I do show Elias father as Arie Langet Delong married to Anna Wiltsee and married in Fishkill, Dutchess, NY Nancy
In copying some BMD pages that were sent to me, I realized that, Jennie HIGGINS - sister to my Jonas HIGGINS & daughter of Jonas L. HIGGINS and Margaret SEARS/CYRE, married a PRESTON at some point. Apparently she was widowed because on June 29, 1878 she married Frank GASLOW/GASLAW/GOSLAW/GOSLOW. The name is hard to make out. I've searched and haven't found any record of any of those name possiblities anywhere in the US. Can anyone help? I would like to find the marriage between Jennie and this PRESTON. I also would like more information on the GASLOW/GASLAW's. I also noticed looking through the archives of the mailing list that the PRESTON's were connected to the NICHOLS. Jennie's mother, Margaret (SEARS/CYRE) HIGGINS was married January 19, 1878 to Paul NICHOLS in Vergennes. He was 79, she was 56 or 57. I have no idea if this is a coincidence with the surnames, but I wanted to point it out. I cannot locate Margaret & Paul after their marriage. If anyone has anything on either of these women and their marriages please contact me: [email protected] God Bless! :-)Ronie KENDIG
Hi, just saw your posting about George W. Doane. According to Worldconnect he is buried in Sudbury. Don't know how accurate that is. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gary Thompson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 10:00 PM Subject: Re: [VTADDISO] Richville Cemetery, Shoreham > I visited the East Shoreham Cemetery this spring.
