Article Text: POULTNEY, VT., Aug. 7.--Mrs. Frances Whitton died this morning at Rutland hospital after a short illness. Born August 31,1885, Mrs. Whitton was the daughter of Frank and Clarice (Landon) French. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.Julia LaRose of Poultney, Mrs. Anthony Tarentelli of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Mrs. Lawrence Stacey of West Chazy, N.Y. ; five sons, Raymond, Clayton, Curtis and Robert of Poultney, and Albert of Weehawken, N.Y. ; a sister, Mrs. Robert Eddy of Poultney ; and 11 grandchildren.
