Dickinson, Road Commissioner Hutchins and Selectmen O'Shea and Phillips attended the road commissioners' meeting in Rutland last Wednesday. Frank Johnson of Rutland was in town Thursday. Roland Bishop was absent from school a few days last week owing to sickness. Mrs. Ed O'Shea was in Rutland last Wednesday. Mrs. A. S. Goodrich and Miss Gladys Woodrich of Fair Haven called at Frank Kink's last Wednesday. Mrs. Hery Naramore of East Benson is quite sick. Mrs. Alta Brown is caring for her. Leslie Belden is having electric lights installed in his garage. Mrs. W. B. Walker and Mrs. Lucy Kellogg were in Ticonderoga Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Herbert Keller. Clifford Kent of Lincoln is spending a few days with his sister, Mrs. Leslie Belden. Danforth Belden left Monday for Fair Haven, where he has employment with the Norton Hardware Co. Dorothy Goodrich is home from Keene, N.H.. for a few days. Miss Agnes Frazier, Kenyon King and Charles Kellogg have returned to Saxtons River. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bascom, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs.Benjamin Bascom, Jr., were at W. S. Bascom's last Saturday. Miss Sarah Bascom is confined to her bed with grippe. Mrs. B. Bascom, Jr., remained to assist in caring for her. Linus Barber was home from Rutland Saturday. Eleanor Emerson was quite sick Saturday and Sunday with an infected throat. Mrs. Carl Pratt has a new line of millinery. The baseball game which was to have been played Saturday, was postponed indefinitely. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Noble and Rev. J. C. Emerson were at George Ward's in Sciota Friday. The Busy Bee club met Saturday with Misses Faith and Barbara Kellogg. The Community club will meet Wednesday with Mrs. Loren Noble. W.H. Spicer and family have moved from the Carter farm to Mrs. Alice Osgood's. E. Scripture and wife have moved from Mrs. Osgood's to the Tom Harding house in Orwell. Mr. Scripture will work for M. Dundon. The Willette family have moved from the Chauncey Naramore house to the house on the crossroad, by the Nickerson farm.
