Miss Margaret Durick is assisting this summer at the Allen National bank. The charity bridge club met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Jennie F. Roberts of Carnarvon street. Miss Loretta Malone returned from Albany, N.Y., this week where she has been visiting relatives. Miss Margaret Foley of Oyster Bay, L.I., is visiting her sister, Elizabeth Foley for the summer. Mrs. Wilbur Brannock, who has been at the Rutland hospital for an operation, has returned to her home here. Misses Helen Hammond of New York and Marion Bushey of Bellows Falls are camping at the Coon cottage at the lake for a week. The Fair Haven Public playgrounds opened this week under the supervision of Miss Elvira Roberts. Tennis courts and swings have been added. Miss Mary Gay Raymond entertained a number of friends at her home on Friday afternoon at bridge. Cards were played at three tables. Prizes were awarded to Miss Mary Delehanty of New York and Winifred Jones. Mrs. Miles Foley died at her home on Grape street Monday afternoon after an illness of two years. She is survived by her husband and four children. Mrs. Foley was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin, Catholic Daughters of America.
