Source, Rutland (Vt) Daily Herald--Mon.Nov. 23,1891. BRANDON, Vt. Hiram A. Grover, an old soldier, who was suffering from and debilitated by 21 wounds received in line of duty, was a few weeks ago sent to the soldiers' home in Bennington, (Vt), where he became violently insane and was sent to Waterbury (Vt) and placed in the insane asylum, and died Saturday night of general debility. He has a father in the home at Bennington, and his brother, Norris Grover lives in Brandon,(Vt). The family, father and sons , made an excellent record in the war.
