In Middlesbury, April 27, Samuel S CROOK, aged 78 years Mr CROOK moved into Salisbury in 1793, was married to Elizabeth SHELDON in 1816, and lived with her forty nine years. He was well known for his energy and business traits of character, and his hospitable and generous home will be missed by his numerous friends. There was present at his funeral the seventh generation of his relatives, with whom he had visited and conversed. With Mr Samuel SHELDON whom he survived just two weeks, the male ancestors of both families become extinct.
