The ice on the skating rink is in excellent condition and was patronized by a large crowd last evening. A son, Junior, has been born to Mr. and Mrs. Rollin C. Thrall. Miss Helen Kolodny of Fair Haven is visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Levine. John M. Dwyer, student at St. Mary's seminary, Baltimore,Md., is spending a vacation with his father, William R. Dwyer , and family. Donald Ross of Boston is visiting his parents, Dr. and Mrs. C. B. Ross. Miss Helen Mumford returned yesterday from a visit with Misses Marguerite and Caroline Quinlan of Willsboro,N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pifko of Reading. Pa., are visiting Mr. Pifko's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pifko. Miss Elizabeth Raiche of Bennington was a recent guest of her aunt, Mrs. Margaret Raiche. OFFICERS WILL BE INSTALLED. The annual installation of the newly elected officers of the Ladies auxiliary to the A.O.H., will take place in the town hall Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. A musical program will be carried out and refreshments will be served. FUNERAL of SALEM WINCHELL. Funeral services for Salem Winchell, who died Monday morning, were conducted at his late home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Burton E. Marsh,pastor of the United church, and were largely attended. The bearers were Harry Wedin, Carl Wedin, John Harrison, Arthur Anderson,Harold Anderson and Anthony Grazena. The numerous floral tributes included a wreath from the neighbors. The body was place in the vault at Evergreen cemetery, Rev. Mr. Marsh officiating at the committal service. TEACHERS ENTERTAINED. The teachers of the Main street school entertained the teachers of the Hill school at a salad supper Tuesday evening. Following the supper the evening was spent at bridge.
