Miss Margaret Gould has returned to New York city after spending a few weeks' visit at her home on York street. Mrs. Kate Hyde of Boston spent Wednesday at her home here. Mrs. David J. Williams attended the funeral of Mrs. Moses Evans of Fair Haven, Vt. Thursday. Miss Jennie Williams , a student at Syracuse university , is at her home here for the summer vacation. Mrs. Edward Cambell (sic) and children spent Thursday with friends in Rutland. Miles Foley of Fair Haven has been the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Foley of North Poultney. Mrs. Minnie Carr of Cohoes, N.Y., is guest of relatives in town this week. A game of baseball will be payed Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock on Broughton field, between the Poultney nine and Troy Conference academy. L.R. Runkle of Rutland is spending a few days in town. Prize speaking will be held in the town hall Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock for scholars attending the district schools. R. E, Warner is in Whitehall, N.Y., this week. Mrs. Hugh J. Williams has returned from a visit to Fair Haven. Miss M. Mackin has returned to her home in Fair Haven, after a few days' visit with friends here. Mrs. Will Phillips spent Thursday in Rutland.
