Announcement was received here last night that Paul C. Pelton of 71 Crescent street, this city, and Miss Thelma A. Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Williams of Granville, N.Y. were married Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist church, Granville,by the pastor, Rev. J. D. Brehaut. The bride wore a gown of white satin ad lace, with bridal veil caught up with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of roses. The maid of honor was Miss Lorraine Williams of Granville, sister of the bride, who was gowned in pink georgette, with picture hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Huldah Hicks wore a beige georgette gown, with picture hat to match, and carried a bridal bouquet of delphiniums. The best man was Eric Eklund of Church street, Rutland. Euston Owens of Granville, N.Y., and Clarence Blossom of Poultney, a cousin of the bride, acted as ushers. The wedding march was payed by Robert Owens, organist, who gave an appropriate musical program during the ceremony. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, at which immediate relatives and friends were present. The bride is a graduate from Granville High school and of Oneonta Normal school. She has taught for the past two years in Rhinebeck,N.Y. Mr. Pelton is a graduate from Rutland High school. He attended Middlebury college and is at present associate teacher of music with Miss Grace Stoolfire in Rutland. Mr. and Mrs. Pelton will make their home in Rutland after September 1.
