The funeral of Mrs. Shadrach Roberts of North Main street, who died Thursday after a long illness with consumption, was held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Welsh Congregational church. Rev. David L.Williams officiated. The bearers were Robert J. Evans, William M. Owen,William W. Parry,Benjamin Lewis, Ellis Pritchard and R. Temple Jones. The burial was in Cedar Grove cemetery. Hiram Miller returned Monday from the Mary Fletcher hospital at Burlington, where he had his right leg taken off at the knee. A 10-cent supper will be served by the Young People's society of Christian Endeavor of the Baptist church in the church parlors Friday evening. Daniel O'Brien of River street has accepted a position as manager of a 1500 acre farm at Port Chester, N. Y., owned by Mr. Parke of the firm of Parke & Tilford of New York.
