J.L.St.John of Burlington was in town today on business. Miss Minnie Burditt of Middlebury college spent Sunday at her home here. William Sexton of Bellows Falls is spending a few days in town. Miss Lillian Woodall of the Troy Conference academy at Poultney is at her home here for the Easter vacation. Mrs.S.A.Hotchkiss, who has been ill with the grip, is reported to be better. Dr. George Anderson of Brattleboro spent Sunday with friends in town. All the schools in town will close Friday for one week's vacation. Miss Sedonnie Tennian of the Castleton normal school is at her home here. The meeting of the Friday club, which was to have been held this week at the home of Mrs. George Wheaton, has been indefinitely postponed. The mill which has recently been erected by Newton Thompson & Co.,of Forestdale,to replace the one burned a short time ago belonging to the Pittsford Manufacturing company, is nearly completed and in running condition. E. A. Randall has resigned his position as superintendent and will work in Proctor. Frank Buxton will take his place.
