Source, The Rutland (Vt) Weekly Herald--Thur. May 11, 1893. PROCTORSVILLE, Vt. Mrs. George S. Hill went to Springfield , Mass., Saturday morning to visit her daughter, Mrs. Anna Pickett. Black river was the highest for many years last Wednesday. The small bridge at the shoddy mill was washed away, also the bridges over the river at C. D. Parker & Sons' steam mill. A meeting of all interested in the building of a new road to the houses of J. F. Moody and W. H. Mason and the steam mill of C.D.Parker & Sons have been called by the selectmen at the home of J.R. Seaver May 26. Mrs. Ella Miner, housekeeper for H. W. Mason, is very ill with a complication of disease.
