Source, The Poultney (Vt) Journal--Fri. Dec. 2, 1932. CASTLETON, Vt. Castleton Woman Honored on 90th Birthday Mrs. Helen M. Perkins, who resides with her daughter, Mrs. Carrie A. Dean in Castleton, was given a party in observance of her 90th birthday at the home of her son in Rutland. Luncheon was served to over 30 relatives and friends and during the day Mrs. Perkins was the recipient of many gifts and congratulatory messages. Despite her advanced age, Mrs. Perkins is in excellent health, spending much of her time in reading and taking automobile rides. Mrs. Perkins was born in Rutland but has lived in Castleton for many years. In 1866 she was married to Charles Perkins and to them were born six children, all of whom are living.
