From The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, November 1, 1906 MARIA F. PUTNAM was born February 7, 1824, in the State of Vermont. At an early age she moved to Delaware Co., N.Y., where she was married to CHARLES S. FANCHER, (??vember 8, 1850. To this union three children were born, viz: MRS. MARY F. JOHNSON, of Osceola, Ia., MISS CHARLOTTE FANCHER, of Kansas City, Mo., and GEO. G. FANCHER, of Chariton, Ia., all of whom survive her and were present at the funeral. She continued to reside with her husband in Delaware Co., N.Y., until his death on January 20, 1870. In the spring of 1878 she moved to Osceola, Ia., and in April 1880 to Chariton, Iowa, where she continued to reside until her death on October 24, 1906; aged 82 years, 8 months and 17 days. Funeral services were held at the family residence on Friday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev.
