McKenzie of Pittsford was injured on Saturday morning when the large truck which he was driving was struck by a Rutland railroad engine at Ripley crossing. The flyer was north-bound from Rutland and as it approached the crossing the engineer sounded the whistle, and it is believed that McKenzie did not realize the distance of the train, and thinking that it was some distance, attempted to cross the tracks.
