Those not absent during the year was Hazel Benson. Those not absent during the term, Hazel Gotte, Alta Pritchard, Robert Thorpe and Jarvis Hoyt. Mae Champion and Hazel Benson received the State Reading certificate. A picnic was given Wednesday for the village school. Miss Eva Gates attended the Department Convention of the W. R. C. in Bennington this week. "The White Sheep" will be given Wednesday night at an open air theater, and Thursday night at the East Poultney school hall, for the benefit of the Pride of Vermont Achievement club. The Silver Cup, which was won by the Pride of Vermont Achievement club, is being exhibited in the window of McShane's Drug Store. The Home Demonstration club meets Thursday with Mrs. William Landry. Word has been received of an automobile accident in which Mr. and Mrs. William Davison were both hurt. Mr. and Mrs. George Whitton have returned from Daytona, Fla. Mrs. Whitton remains quite ill, Mr. Rawson bringing her from Albany, N.Y., in the ambulance. Mrs, George Lamphere of Rutland is with her mother, Mrs. George Whitton. Misses Marion Landry and Dora Boyce of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., spent the week-end at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Landry. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Landry and daughter, Marion, and Miss Dora Boyce visited in Greenwich, N.Y., on Saturday. Curtis Munson and Mrs. Charles Munson spent the week-end with John P. Hoadley and family of Wallingford.
