Mrs. Milo Drake died on Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sumner Payne of North Poultney. She was born on February 16, 1857.On December 11, 1870, she was married to William Carter, whose death occurred in 1879. She was afterwards married to Milo Drake, who died about four years ago. Deceased is survived by four sons, Walter Carter, of Crown Point, N.Y., K.L.Carter of this village, George Drake of Mineville, N.Y., and Archie Drake of this village; also by one daughter, Mrs. George Burbank of Crown Point, N.Y., and a sister, Mrs. Bryon Carter of Ballaston Springs, N.Y., and by a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the home of her son, K.L. Carter, Rev. F. W. Ford officiating. The Baptist choir sang, "Rock of Ages" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The bearers were Ralph Pray, David Deyette, David Roberts and Warren Edminister.
