    2. Source,Rutland Vt.Herald--Nov. 22, 1842. Newspaper Ad. NEW GOODS. Geo. T. Hodges has just received a large addition to his stock of Goods, purchased this fall, making his assortment more extensive than he has ever before offered to his friends and customers. The Goods were purchased with cash at such low prices as enables him to sell them lower than they can be bought at any store in the county, for cash. His stock consists of foreign and domestic staple and fancy Dry Goods, crockery, glass and hardware, a large assortment of groceries of the very best quality. Also, Russia, Sweed, English and American Iron, shoe shape, round and square iron, horse nail rods, cast. German and Sweedes Steel, sleigh shoes ; nails, glass zinc, codfish, mackerel, salmon , 40 tons Nova Scotia Plaster, buckwheat flour in barrels and half barrels ground at Troy, superior Western New York superfine Flour (fancy brand;) also three brands best superfine Troy flour, which will be sold by the barrel or load. Persons wishing to purchase are requested to call and examine his stock before purchasing. Rutland, Nov. 18, 1842.
