Bixby Article Title: Rutland Daily Herald Article Date: May 15 1912 Article Description: Obituary of Levi Miner Article Text: Funeral services for Levi Miner,who died at his home, No. 24 East Washington street, yesterday morning of kidney disease, will be held at the church of the Sacred Heart of Mary at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Miner,who had lived in Rutland for 40 years, had been seriously ill for four weeks, but had been in poor health for a long time. He was 84 years old,and had conducted a carriage making and blacksmith shop on West street for many years. He retired from the business in favor of his son, Alderman Levi F.Miner of Pine street, 23 years ago. Mr. Miner married Miss Helen Gormond of West Rutland in 1854 and Mrs.Miner survives him.
