Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Fri.July 26, 1929. GIVE SURPRISE PARTY FOR MISS FLORA RAVENNA. A surprise party was given for Miss Flora Ravenna of Center Rutland Wednesday night by young women employes of the Murdick- Durkee company, Miss Ravenna, who is a daughter of Mrs. Vera Ravenna, will be married August 12 to Aroldo (sic) Joseph Del Blanco of Center Rutland. The rooms were decorated with pink and white crepe paper, streamers, pink rambling roses, sweet peas and dahlias. The table decorations consisted of candles, which were also used for lighting the room. The bride-to-be opened her gifts while sitting under an archway of hydrangeas and pink poppies. The gifts included linen, cut glass, silver and tin. Mrs. Irene Fuller played piano solos and also accompanied Miss Rosalie Gallo, who played ukulele numbers. Miss Lillian Baccei gave solo dances and Spanish dances. At the cutting of the bride's cake, the following received favors.
