Two weeks ago his four year old son died of the same disease, following an operation. Some time previous to that his father suffered a fracture of his elbow. Misfortune has also come to one of his little daughter, whose right eye is practically sightless. He practiced medicine in McIndoes,Peacham and since 1880 in Rutland. Dr.Gilchrist was a member of the Rutland County Medical association,Vermont lodge,Knights of Pythias, and Pulaski lodge of Masons,Wells River. Besides his daughter,Miss Beth Bradfod Gilchrist, Dr.Gilchrist is survived by a sister, Mrs. A.B.Perry of Belmont,Mass.
