Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bingham and family have moved from the Rosen tenement on Marble street to Worcester, Mass. Mrs. Joseph Berensky has returned from Bayonne, N.J.,where she has been visiting relatives for some time. Mrs. J. B. Guiltinan and son,Francis,have returned from Schenctady, N.Y., where they have been the guests of relatives for a week. James Gilfeather has returned from a weeks' trip to New York city. While there he attended the World's series baseball games. Leo McDevitt of Whitehall, N.Y. is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James McDevitt. George Fredette is confined to his home on Pleasant street by illness. Mrs. John Reilly of Bennington arrived yesterday to spend some time with her aunt, Mrs. Michael Galphin. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ryan, who have been guests of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hanley, have gone to Ogdensburg, N.Y., where they recently located.

Williams attended the funeral of Mrs. Moses Evans of Fair Haven, Vt. Thursday. Miss Jennie Williams , a student at Syracuse university , is at her home here for the summer vacation. Mrs. Edward Cambell (sic) and children spent Thursday with friends in Rutland. Miles Foley of Fair Haven has been the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Foley of North Poultney. Mrs. Minnie Carr of Cohoes, N.Y., is guest of relatives in town this week. A game of baseball will be payed Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock on Broughton field, between the Poultney nine and Troy Conference academy. L.R. Runkle of Rutland is spending a few days in town. Prize speaking will be held in the town hall Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock for scholars attending the district schools. R. E, Warner is in Whitehall, N.Y., this week. Mrs. Hugh J. Williams has returned from a visit to Fair Haven. Miss M. Mackin has returned to her home in Fair Haven, after a few days' visit with friends here. Mrs. Will Phillips spent Thursday in Rutland.

Long. officiated. Miss Anna Mary Piette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Piette, Beaver Pond terrace, was united in marriage to Philip Arthur Mongeon of Winooski,Vt. at 8:30 o'clock. The father of the bride and her brother, George, were the witnesses as her sister, who was to have been the bridesmaid, is ill. The newly married couple left in an automobile for Winooski in the afternoon. At 9:30 o'clock Miss Lena Mary Meillieur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Meillieur of this village, was married to Henry Felix Loso of Proctor. Sorry, the rest of the news item is missing.

Polley returned Monday night after a short visit in Whitehall, N.Y. Mr. and Mrs. David T. Williams and Robert R. Roberts of Granville, N.Y., were in town Tuesday to attend the funeral of Edward Thomas. Miss Maude Guerney of Whitehall, N.Y., visited friends in town on Tuesday. Mrs. G. H. Shinville goes today to Burlington. Pierce Roberts of Poultney,Vt. visited friends in town Tuesday. Miss Lillian Raino, who has been spending several days with Miss Nina Henderson, returned Tuesday to her home in Whitehall, N.Y. Mrs. Henry Webster returned Tuesday from Bristol. F.E.Grace was in Rutland on business Tuesday. William Mapes, who has been spending several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Parry on Fourth street, left Tuesday for New York city. Mr. and Mrs. John Kissane of Rutland visited relatives in town Tuesday. Misses Nina Henderson and Hattie Gervy visited relatives in Rutland Tuesday. Miss Fannie Fennell left Tuesday for a several months' visit in Cleveland, O. Robert R.Hughes of Center Rutland visited relatives in town Tuesday. The Fair Haven high school baseball team will play Proctor high at Fairmount park Saturday afternoon. Word was received here Tuesday of the death at 2 o'clock Monday morning in New Rochelle, N.Y., of Mrs. Moses Evans, an old resident of this place. The body will be brought here on the 9:45 train Thursday morning and taken to the Welsh Presbyterian church, where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. F. H. Shepard is spending several days in Troy and Albany, N.Y.

D. Humphrey officiated. The bearers were Benjamin Lewis, Joel Griffith, H. S. Humphrey, Edward Owens, Robert W. Morris and O. H. Owens. Burial was in the Cedar Grove cemetery.

    2. Source, Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Tues.Dec.30, 1890. BRANDON, Vt. Dec.29--Miss Anna Bishop has returned to Concord and will commence another term as teacher in the graded school. Dr. W. H. Wright gave a dinner on Christmas day to his father-in-law, Mr. T. B. Smith, and his wife, Dr. W. H. Kingsley and wife of Middlebury and Mr. George H. Young and wife of Burlington. Mr.Smith is past 83 years of age, and aside from his rheumatism is as active in business affairs as ever. W. R. Briggs of Williams college has a vacation until January 12. Charles Winslow of Philips academy is home for the holiday season. The venerable mother of Rev. J. S.Tupper died suddenly of heart disease on Saturday morning She was living with her son at his home near the village. Mrs. Andrew J. Dimmick had a sudden attack and died of heart disease Friday night. There have been a number of sudden deaths in Brandon within the past few days. During the fire at the Brandon house a great many articles of furniture and wearing apparel were taken to different places for temporary storage, and Messrs. Coxe & Hack have had to advertise to get them returned. It would seem that the misfortune that has befell them should render this course unnecessary. --The hotel question is at present at a standstill. Nothing can apparently be said or done until the adjusters have settled with Mr. Parris. The loss of Ed D. Thayer has not yet been adjusted. A. G. Baisner has rented the rooms over Savery's store for a barber shop. Views of the ruins of the Brandon house are now on exhibition, the works of Grimes, the photographer, and they are attracting much attention in Goodrich's window. Dr. J. C. Walton has returned and will resume his dental practice Monday morning. Mr. Henry Bailey , who is employed by the Boston & Albany railroad company in the car shops at Springfield, Mass., is visiting his sisters on Pearl street. The Hoyt comedy company has been playing a week's engagement at the town hall, and has apparently amused many o the townspeople and had a good time itself. It has conducted itself creditably while here. The annual meeting of the fire district takes place Monday evening, January 5, at the town hall. The annual meeting of the Ladies book club will be held in their rooms Friday , January 9, at 2 o'clock p.m. This association now has in its possession over 2000 volumes. Capt. William Cronan, who has been assisting his sister, Mrs. Whalen, returned to Rutland yesterday evening. C. J. Ormsbee post, No. 18, G.A.R.. will hold a public installation of officers at the town hall on Monday evening, January 12, the public are to be invited to attend. The exercises will be interesting and entertaining. Rev. W. F. Weeks , the rector of St. Thomas' church gave the Sunday school of his parish a sleigh ride to Forestdale, where they attended service. With this ride and the Christmas tree, they felt that Santa Claus had dealt very kindly with them. Master Ned walker is staying with his aunt, Mrs. George Briggs. Mr.Walker has been quite sick since he returned from Fitchburg,but is better at the present writing. Prof. E. H. Dutcher and family have been passing the Christmas holidays with his father at St. Albans and are expected home Friday. Miss Lizzie June and her sister have been to Clarendon visiting their sister. They returned to Brandon Saturday. Miss M. L.Gould is in Canada during here vacation. She will return Saturday. The graded school will resume their work on Monday ,January 5.

Announcement was received here last night that Paul C. Pelton of 71 Crescent street, this city, and Miss Thelma A. Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Williams of Granville, N.Y. were married Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Baptist church, Granville,by the pastor, Rev. J. D. Brehaut. The bride wore a gown of white satin ad lace, with bridal veil caught up with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of roses. The maid of honor was Miss Lorraine Williams of Granville, sister of the bride, who was gowned in pink georgette, with picture hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet of sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Miss Huldah Hicks wore a beige georgette gown, with picture hat to match, and carried a bridal bouquet of delphiniums. The best man was Eric Eklund of Church street, Rutland. Euston Owens of Granville, N.Y., and Clarence Blossom of Poultney, a cousin of the bride, acted as ushers. The wedding march was payed by Robert Owens, organist, who gave an appropriate musical program during the ceremony. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, at which immediate relatives and friends were present. The bride is a graduate from Granville High school and of Oneonta Normal school. She has taught for the past two years in Rhinebeck,N.Y. Mr. Pelton is a graduate from Rutland High school. He attended Middlebury college and is at present associate teacher of music with Miss Grace Stoolfire in Rutland. Mr. and Mrs. Pelton will make their home in Rutland after September 1.

    2. Source, Rutland Vt.Herald--Sat.July 27,1929. WALLINGFORD, Vt. Mrs. Grace L. Burt Ainsworth, widow of Seward J. Ainsworth died at her home early yesterday morning following a long illness. She was a native of Plymouth, Vt.but went in early life to Bartonsville, Vt.She has resided in Wallingford since 1899 when she was married to S.J. Ainsworth who died in 1913. Mrs. Ainsworth is survived by Joel C. Ainsworth of Boston, Mrs.Roscoe L.Congdon of this place and Miss Mildred Ainsworth of Los Angels,Calif., children of her husband. She was an active and charter member and past noble grand of White Rock Rebekah lodge and a past district deputy president of Rebekah District No.2 a member of the "Fortnightly" of the local Congregational church and a member of the Bartonsville Congregational church. Funeral services will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock (E.S.T.)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock when Miss Pauline Vigneux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Treplin Vigneux, and Edward Trepanier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Trepanier, were married by Rev. N. Proulx of Rutland. The bride was attired in white silk and her attendant, Miss Ancore Bersaw, wore a gown of green crepe de chine. They both carried carnations. The groom's attendant was Treflie Vigneaux, a brother of the bride. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride to the immediate relatives of the contracting parties. The bride and groom were the recipients of many presents. They left in the afternoon for Holyoke, Mass., and other points where they will spend their honeymoon. Upon their return they will reside in West Rutland.

    2. Source,Rutland Vt.Herald--Tues.Sept.19,1922. WALLINGFORD, Vt. Funeral services for G. W. Ainsworth were held at his late home Monday afternoon. Rev. O. R. Houghton officiated. The bearers were D.A. Maxham, Tony Petraglio, Asa Clemmons, H. G. Savery, George Maxham and William Rogers. There were many beautiful flowers from relatives and friends. Among these was a pillow from Pico Lodge, L.O.O.F. and casket bouquet from White Rock Rebekah Lodge,Pico Lodge, LO.O.F., conducted the services at the grave. Those from out of town to attend were Dr. and Mrs.B. Johnson of Danby, Vt., Miss Sadie Camlin of Pittsford, Vt., J.C. Ainsworth of Boston, Miss Mildred Ainsworth of Rutland, Vt., Mrs. John Moises and Earle Archer of East Wallingford, Vt. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery.

    2. Source,Rutland Vt.Herald--Sat.Sept.23,1922. MIDDLEBURY, Vt. Mrs. Jennie Emeline (Smead) Cloyes died at the home of her son, Dennie P. Cloyes on Court street (Middlebury) Friday. She was 82 years old, and is survived by two sons, Fred D. Cloyes of Lexington, Mass, and Dennie P. Cloyes of Middlebury, Vt., also one brother, A. E. Smead of Salisbury, Vt. Mrs. Cloyes was born in Salisbury, Vt., August 8, 1840, and was the daughter of Dennis and Cynthia (Maynard) Smead. Funeral services will be held at the home of her son, D.P. Cloyes Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Seeley district cemetery.
