He is survived by one daughter, Katherine, of this place, and two sons, Timothy of Chatham, N.Y., and John of this place, The funeral was held at the Catholic church in Ludlow, Vt. Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. J. W. Dwyer officiating.

    2. Source, Rutland, Vt. Daily Herald--Mar.1,1911. Percy Hunter, Rutland's -ex-barber/pugilist, was sentenced in Burlington City court Monday morning to 30 days in jail for being a tramp. Hunter had been hanging around Burlington for some time, not having occupation, or apparently anything else out of the ordinary except a pair of most ungainly feet. In City court "Perc" said he had been hard up for some time and that in the course of the hardships encountered he had frozen his feet which made it difficult for him to earn his living. He claimed that he had " good people " who could help him, but he did not want them to know of his plight.

Carter, who died Sunday at her home in Stamford, Ct., arrived in this city last evening on the 8:30 o'clock train, accompanied by Mrs. Carter's husband and son and was taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. H. C. Cheney of East Washington street. The burial will be held in Calvary cemetery this morning, the procession leaving the house at 9:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held in Stamford, Ct.

Miss Elizabeth Flory, daughter of Mrs. Alfred Flory of this place, and Samuel Lafrance of West Rutland, Vt., were married at 8 o'clock Monday morning in St. Louis' church by Rev. J. O. Lezotte. A wedding breakfast was served at the bride's house on Second street. Mr. and Mrs. Lafrance left on the 1:44 train on their wedding trip to New York city and vicinity and upon their return they will reside in West Rutland, Vt.

Norman Howard, one of the oldest residents of this place, died at 7 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of Henry Clyne on West street. He was 82 years old last October and is survived by one brother, Henry, who is located in the West. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the home of John Harrison on West street. Burial will be in the West Street Cemetery.

Clark, aged 76 years, died at her home in Hampton, N.Y. at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning.Mrs. Clark had been an invalid for about seven years but death came suddenly at the last. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. L. Woodard. The funeral will take place at the house on Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Poultney, Vt. Cemetery.

Mrs. Catherine Morgan died at her home Wednesday night at 9:30 o'clock after an illness of several weeks. She was born in Ireland in 1844 and has since lived in this vicinity practically all her life. Mrs. Morgan was the mother of 12 children, six of whom survive her, four daughters, Mrs. Anna Nolan, Mrs. Thomas Hayes and Mrs. Harry Sullivan of Fair Haven, Vt., Mrs. R. M. Ryan of Orwell, Vt., and two sons, John Edward and James P. Morgan of this town. he is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary McDonald of Wisconsin and by 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Rowlands of Poultney, Vt.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Allen B. Wilson of Poultney. The body was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rowlands, where the funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. S. D. Hodlin, pastor of the Hampton (NY) Methodist church, of which Mr. Wilson was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Poultney cemetery.

Theodore Mayo of Stowe arrived here Wednesday for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Fairbanks before going to Schenectady, N.Y., to take an engineering course at Union college. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Townsend and son, Frank, who have been spending several weeks with relatives in Oak Park, Ill., and Greenwich, N.Y., returned home Wednesday. L. A. Veazey (sic) who has been in Putney on account of the death of a relative, returned Wednesday. A daughter was born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hatch of Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Hatch were formerly residents here for several years. A daughter was born Monday to Mr. and Mrs. S. Listroan at the hospital. Miss Marion Smith, who has been visiting relatives here and in the vicinity for several weeks, returned Tuesday to Bristol. William H. Howe, assistant postmaster, who has been on a vacation of 15 days, resumed work at the post office Wednesday.

Parker and son,Warren, jr., have returned from Lynn, Mass.,where they visited Mrs. Parker's brother, Robert McDowell. Mr. and Mrs. C. W.
