Source,Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Fri.July 26, 1929. GIVE SURPRISE PARTY FOR MISS FLORA RAVENNA. A surprise party was given for Miss Flora Ravenna of Center Rutland Wednesday night by young women employes of the Murdick- Durkee company, Miss Ravenna, who is a daughter of Mrs. Vera Ravenna, will be married August 12 to Aroldo (sic) Joseph Del Blanco of Center Rutland. The rooms were decorated with pink and white crepe paper, streamers, pink rambling roses, sweet peas and dahlias. The table decorations consisted of candles, which were also used for lighting the room. The bride-to-be opened her gifts while sitting under an archway of hydrangeas and pink poppies. The gifts included linen, cut glass, silver and tin. Mrs. Irene Fuller played piano solos and also accompanied Miss Rosalie Gallo, who played ukulele numbers. Miss Lillian Baccei gave solo dances and Spanish dances. At the cutting of the bride's cake, the following received favors. Source, Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Tues.Apr.14, 1914. CHITTENDEN, Vt. Miss Annie Humphrey of Ludlow , who has been for a week with her mother, Mrs. Emily Humphrey, returned last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Fitzgerald, who spent the winter in Boston with their children, have returned home. Mrs. Emma Baird has employment in L. K. Osgood's family in the town of Rutland. J. A. C. Horton and daughter, Belle, were in Rutland last Saturday. Mrs. Ann Austin has returned home after spending the winter in Rutland. Easter Sunday was observed at the Methodist Episcopal church here with music by the choir and recitations by the children and an address by the pastor, Rev. A. H. Edie.

Miss Ethel Murphy of Granvlle, N.Y., has been spending a few days at her home on East Main street. Edward Butler of Syracuse, N.Y., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Butler of North street. Edward Lobdell of Schenectady, N.Y., is visiting friends in town. O. W. McShane and daughter are visiting at her former home in Brandon. Nathan Wilson of Rutland visited friends here the past week. Miss Anna Haugh and Miss Helen Campbell are visiting relative in Glens Falls, N.Y. Mrs. E. B. Curley returned Saturday to Burlington after spending a week at her former home here. There will be a regular meeting of Evergreen chapter, O.E.S ., Friday evening at which time the officers will be installed. Refreshments will be served. Miss Jane Morris is spending several weeks with friends in New York city. Mrs. Kate Hyde of Granville, N.Y.,visited friends here Saturday.
Source,The Rutland Vt.Daily Herald--Tues. March 21, 1911. RUTLAND, Vt. Death of Mrs. Mary A. Dinn. Mrs. Mary A. Dinn, 51 years old, wife of James Dinn of No. 131 Maple street, Rutland ,Vt., died at her home yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock of Bright's disease. Mrs. Dinn was born in West Rutland, and had always lived in this vicinity. Besides her husband, and a son, Thomas., of this city,she is survived by two sisters, Miss Anna McDermott of Rutland, and Mrs. Henry A. Barrett of Chicago, and two brothers, Thomas McDermott of Rutland, and James McDermott of Montana. The funeral will be held at St.Peter's church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.
Source, Rutland Vt.daily herald--Thur.Mar. 23, 1911. CASTLETON, Vt. Mrs. I. N. Perry died at her home here yesterday afternoon after a brief illness with pneumonia. She was 70 years of age and is survived by her husband and three sons, George Kelleway of Oregon, Fred Kelleway of West Rutland and John Kelleway of Oregon. The funeral arrangements are not yet made.
