Good afternoon: Mary Higgins was born 1744, probably in Amelia or Caroline County Virginia. She is stated to be the daughter of William and Ann Higgins. Caroline County was full of Higgins families all during the 1700's and Leonard Young found his Higgins, Mary whom he married September 11, 1765. Barely eight months later, a daughter Ann arrived, then Elizabeth, then William. Leonard and Mary moved from Caroline County to Spotsylvania County. Son James was probably born here. Then Francis, Jane, Richard, John, Aaron, Henry, Mary, Catherine and finally Benjamin. The move to Fayette County Kentucky took place in 1781-85. Mary died on June 26, 1813.
