I have been at a brick wall for awhile now. I am researching info on a Jasper C. Sanders / Saunders. According to his Pa. Draft card, he was born in Va. June 16, 1882 in Harrisonburg, Va. The 1930 Pa. census shows he was born in Va and so was his parents. Would like to find who his parents were. His obit has that his parents are Jason & Sarah. It could be wrong, maybe the could be Jesse & Sarah or James & Sarah? Maybe his parents traveled through Va. when he was born and they are from another state? He named his children by these names, maybe the names are a clue to Jasper's background...or of his parents or sibblings. His children below..... Harry Clinton Sanders, James Lewis Sanders, Claude Daniel Sanders, Sadie Mae Sanders, Evelyn Margaret Sanders, David Sanders, Roland Bumeford Fitzgerald / Sanders. ANY HELP, Is greatly appreciated. just a quick suggestion- search on the Bumeford name. Whenever I come across a middle name that looks like a surname (especially in the South!), that is usually a good place to start connecting to family or close connections. When you find Bumefords in the census, look around a few pages either way. Good luck! A.
