In 1800 I have an Agustus Wooldridge and wife Flora, with children Wise, Henry and Gustavus in VA. At the age of 53 Agustus was working in a coal mine in VA. I am taking it that Agustus dies in the '80s, because by 1889 Flora Woolbridge is operating a boarding house on Canal Street in Youngstown, Ohio. Living next door was a Rev. Israel Tansmore who was also from VA and died around 1890. (James) Henry Woolridge, her son, worked in the mills and later became a minister. He and his wife, Mary had several children including Gustavis, Wayne, Henry Jr, and Fred. James Henry's brother, Gustavus, married a Mary Smith 1/20/1890 in Youngstown. She was listed as a domestic at Philip Tucker's residence here, but when the marriage announcement appears, she is listed as his neice. She may have had a sister Oney Smith. Philip is my g-g-uncle. James Hen! ry also appears to have a brother/cousin Alfred and his wife, Lucy, who were also from VA. He has two children listed as their adopted kids, Henry and Violet Morris. This Morris family may have been related to the Frank Morris who married Hannah Tucker, Philip's mother. Frank would later leave Hannah in 1890 for her neice, Sarah Lewis from Va, and they would marry 8/9/1890 in Pittsburgh, Pa. If any of the family names sound familiar to anyone I would love to hear from you. Note all of the variations in the Wooldridge, Woolbridge, Woolridge family's name.
