    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: geneasearchin Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.unknown/7205/mb.ashx Message Board Post: In an attempt to help as many as possible in their genealogy search I with a friend Sue have started a group. We want to make this group available to United States and all other Countries. The only way we can try to keep genealogy as free as possible is to pull all our sources together and have them accessible in one place and that place would be Ancestor Hunters. There are to many places making a lot of money off of us for our own families information. Come join us in finding ancestor information and giving help to others on their genealogy search. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ancestorhunters/ or ancestorhunters-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Before we opened it to members we put a lot of work into it. There are State Folders and Folders that pertain to particular subjects. In the File Section there is a list of States under each State there is a County folder and in these folders is where you can add things about that County such as obituaries. We have a database of lookup volunteers and a surname database. Our goal is to bring fellow genealogy searchers together and help each other break down our brick walls and to add to the folders so we have a collection of documents and information and links that will help keep genealogy as free as possible for everyone. We just opened to members on March 9th 2008 and we have 531 members and are growing fast. Come join us, let us try to help. You can find us at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ancestorhunters/ Hope to see you there, in no way is it to replace this group. It will just exspand your research ability. Thank You TammyMay and Sue Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
