My 6th great grandmother, Margaret Choulyn, a Cherokee, was said by one researcher to have been born in 1725 in Virginia and died in 1786 in Virginia, but she could not remember where she found that info. Of Margaret Choulyn's many descendants who are researching (she had some 20 children), no one else has been able to find a birth/death record for her. The only place her name seems to appear is on the Peaked Mountain Church Records (which are online) noting the births of several children. Margaret's husband, Hans Peter Harmon, died sometime after 1787 in Tennessee, but there is no record of Margaret joining her husband in Tennessee. However, I believe there is a land purchase reference to him on or near that date. Again, no one has any sources. Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Judy
