Sharon, the area that is now Wayne County, WV would have been in Kanawha in 1800, Cabell in 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840. It appears as a separate county on it's own in 1850 in the Map Guide for the US Censuses by Thorndale and Dollarhide. I have a few records for Cabell in that time frame.
