Clinton Mennonite Cemetery; Mt. Clinton, Virginia Mar- 29 Nov. 1868 to William Samuel Thomas. Parents are Adam Russell Layman and Didama Sellers Layman. The name Adam Russell Layman is carried down through the generations including my grandfather Adam Russell Layman. I have an inquiry on this board for information on Clarence Herbert Layman (a child of Adam's) who once lived in Big Sandy, Texas; worked on the railroad there; had a son who died there; then he moved to Paris, Texas. Still cannot find any information on him. Hope this helps. Have photos of all of the tombstones. You can go to Rockingham County Genealogy web-site and get a lot of information on the Laymans. Most still live there. Lynda ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived.
