Robert Jones was from Indiana born 1767 died 1837 there son was Robert Clement Jones who married Mary Chastain. Wishing that the Ashby name would have been researched by someone already. A great grandson was named Edwin Ashby Jones, son of Joseph B. Jones from Illinois was a Captain in the Civil War. Hope these name are familiar to someone.
