Caperton, bef. 1868 in Mercer Co, WV; daughter of Augustus Caperton and Rachel Wiley. She was born Mar 9, 1836, in Monroe County, Va. and died Oct 29, 1908, Summers County, WV. Both are buried at Hilltop Cemetery, Summers County, WV. Children: 1. William Augustus Hughes, b. 1868, Mercer Co, WV; d. aft 1920, Hecla Precinct, Raleigh County, WV. 2. Henderson Hughes, b. 1870 3.
