    3. Elaine CHITWOOD is the name of our family. The link between the English CHETWODEs and the Virginia CHITWOODs (CHEATWOOD, CHATWOOD) has been eluding a whole raft of dedicated family genealogists for years! Does your book contain this name, or any of its variants? They would have been in Virginia (and Maryland) in the 1700s. Thank you for sharing your resources - and for doing this look-up. We're really stuck! 3. Matthias (Matthew) is the Virignia link to our CHITWOOD family. I would very much appreciate having a copy of these! Just *maybe* it could give a tiny clue that would lead us to his parents... who are the "lost links". How do I connect with these records? Thank you!
